The jury of the litterary award roman@tportal.hr, consisting of Katarina Luketic (president), Tomislav Brlek, Gordan Duhacek, Slaven Juric, Igor Mandic, Miroslav Micanovic and Jadranka Pintaric, has narrowed their favorites for the 100.000 kn worth prize to 5 titles, among them Duse od gume by Dora Kinert Bucan.

Dorta Jagic won prize in Pazin
 On Sunday, May 16th, the 14th International Publishers' Meeting in Pazin "Journey to the centre of the Earth", is closed after 2 days, by delivering prizes to authors, translators and publishers. Among other prize winners, our author Dorta Jagic won a writersin-residence month in Graz, for her short story collection " Kicma" (Aora, 2009) and her successful translator's work. May 20th, 2010

The City library Hvar promoted the book by Ljubo Pauzin "Slucajni bestijarij; Meteor je pao na zemlju"
The City library Hvar and Ljubo Pauzin presented the author's book „Slucajni bestijarij; Meteor je pao na zemlju". The event took place at the city Loggia, Friday, May 14th, 2010. Fragments of the novel "Slučajni bestijarij" and the poems from the book of poetry "Meteor je pao na zemlju", which are published in a single book, were interpreted by the actors of Public Theatre of Hvar Milan Lakos, Braco Milicic, Vice Zaninovic i Proste Gilve. Dora Kinert Bucan last night at the round table of Profil's 7th Zagreb book fair
New women's voices of the Croatian literature at the 7th Zagreb book fair at Profil Megastore. Last night, on May 11th, at Profil's bookstore Profil Megastore, within the 7th Zagreb book fair and ZSK special New Women's voices of the Croatian literature a round table is held, with the topicon the growing number of the successful women authors on the Croatian literature scene. The introduction was made by Iviva Prtenjaca, and the moderation was held by the critic Jadranka Pintaric. With thir novels and short stories the following women authors took part at the round table: Maja Hrgovic, Sibila Petlevski, Milana Vukovic Runjic, Dora Kinert Bucan and Sanja Pilic.

 The promotion of the first book of poetry Moze i kaktus, samo neka bode, by the young author Asja Bakic, was held lst night (Tuesday, April 27th, 2010) at the Croatian culture club, at the basement of the Museum for art and craft, Trg marsala Tita 10, beginning at 20:00. The book was presented by the poets Ana Brnardic, Sladjan Lipovec and the editor Nela Milijic, as well as the author herself.
